Training and Exercise

Professional Training for Security Readiness

At Global Security and Risk Advisors (GSRA), we believe that effective security and emergency preparedness starts with comprehensive training. Our specialized training programs and evaluative exercises ensure that your team—security and non-security alike—is well-prepared to recognize risks, respond effectively, and recover quickly.

Security Staff Training

The GSRA Academy staff are able to provide onsite and virtual training to the security staff and organizations.  These training sessions are tailored to the organizational needs and findings from our brief questionnaire.

Non-Security Staff

Global Security and Risk Advisors (GSRA) provides a basic Security and Situational Awareness training for non-Security staff members at an organization. Theses sessions enhance the employees understanding of security and situational risk they may face, both at work and at home.

Security Company Evaluations

The Global Security and Risk Advisors (GSRA) team of auditors provide an in depth look into the security organization, operations, and cost effectiveness.  Utilizing the proven security operations methodologies and techniques to increase staff retention & reduce operational costs of the security organization.

Incident Command System Training

A properly trained incident command team can not only save lives but offset many costs and unexpected failures.  The training program consists of position specific and whole team training sessions.

Healthcare Incident Command System Training

Though similar to the non-healthcare training there are some big differences in staff titles, responsibilities, operational requirements, and operational needs.  Our team is certified as Healthcare Emergency Professionals.

Exercises

Table-Top

As the title suggest this exercise type is the basic starting point for and exercise program.  We guide the organization through an incident based on identified risks and vulnerabilities.  We track tasks, decisions, and provide an after-action report and corrective action plan would be provided.

Functional

This exercise type is the next step in exercise evolution.  We utilize the information learned in the Table-Top but ask the organization to physically do the actions they said they would take during the prior exercise.  An after-action report and corrective action plan would be provided.

Full-Scale Exercise

This type of exercise would include the organization, local law enforcement, fire, and emergency management.  These exercises are based on findings from the Table-Top and Functional exercises conducted prior and are very specific on their scope and evaluation.  An after-action report and corrective action plan would be provided.

The Global Security and Risk Advisors (GSRA) methodology used is “crawl, walk, run”, meaning Table-Top then Functional, then Full Scale.  All our exercises are based on the organizational needs of the client and their identified risks and vulnerabilities.
